Follow your OPTIFAST diet plan

Whether you’re on our total meal replacement plan or one of our other diet plans, it’s key that you stick to eating OPTIFAST meal replacement products at the time that the plan recommends. You’ll know what you’re eating at each mealtime and having it readily prepared will ensure you’re not tempted to eat foods outside of your plan.

Get active

Regular physical activity is good for both your body and your mind. We’ll help you find new and different ways to exercise that you enjoy, so that you can make it part of your weekly routine. Although exercise will help you on your weight loss journey, it’s also vital for overall health and a key element of living a healthy lifestyle. We want to help you find the forms of exercise that you enjoy to continue long after you’ve completed one of our diet plans.

Creating a diet plan that works for you

Based on the diet plan you choose, you will have a daily schedule and meal plan for when you should be consuming OPTIFAST products. To ensure your body receives adequate nutrition and protein during your plan, it’s important to follow these instructions:

  • Storing OPTIFAST products: Always store the products at room temperature. Don’t leave them in the boot of your car or near any heaters or radiators.
  • Preparing OPTIFAST products: Follow the instructions carefully on the back of each packet before preparing your OPTIFAST shakes and soups. The powdered shake tastes best when consumed immediately after mixing but you can premix it and store in a thermos, fridge of ice-filled cooler. Consume within 24 hours after mixing.

Other fluids: Drink at least 8 glasses of non-caloric beverages every day in addition to the water you’re using to prepare your shakes. This includes water, black coffee, unsweetened tea, diet drinks and sugar-free squash.

Keeping your weight loss goals in mind

In order to successfully reach your weight loss goal, it’s important to remember why you started on your weight loss journey. Losing weight requires determination and motivation and it can be helpful to write down the reasons why you want to lose weight and your motivation for doing so. Any time you’re finding it particularly difficult to stick to your plan, re-read your reasons and use them to help yourself refocus and find renewed motivation.
