Take the time to read up on everything you need to know before starting an OPTIFAST plan to put yourself in the right mindset for going after your weight loss goals.

Find Your Favourite Meal Replacement Products

Before you begin, stock your cupboards with a good supply of OPTIFAST meal replacement products. We have a wide range of products, which includes Meal Replacement Bars, Shakes, Soups and Desserts, all of which come in a variety of great flavours:

  • Our Bars come in five tasty flavours: Cereal, Berry, Cappuccino, Chocolate or Almond, Date & Honey
  • Try our signature Shakes, which come in six flavours: Vanilla, Strawberry, Chocolate, Coffee, Banana or Caramel
  • We have three savoury Soup options: Tomato, Vegetable and Potato & Leek
  • To satisfy your sweet tooth, we have Desserts in two tempting flavours: Vanilla and Chocolate

You can mix and match the meal replacement products throughout your day, of course still sticking to the number of products recommended in your plan. When you’re eating foods that you enjoy, you’ll be much more engaged and motivated to stick with your weight loss plan.

Keep your cupboards well stocked with OPTIFAST meal replacement products and keep an OPTIFAST Bar or two in your bag or desk drawer. This way you’ll always have one handy when hunger strikes or if you’re out of the house for longer than planned.

You can also customise OPTIFAST Shakes, Soups and Desserts to create your own low-calorie meals, simply by adding a few extra ingredients or flavourings:

Top Tips for the First Few Weeks of an OPTIFAST Plan

When you start following an OPTIFAST plan, the first few weeks may be a bit confusing and overwhelming – you’re trying to get used to a new way of eating and a new way to structure your day. For example, you may find that you’re a little more tired than usual and a little hungrier.

Here are a few top tips to bear in mind to get you through those initial weeks and well on your way to achieving your weight loss goals:

  • Take a ‘before’ photo – use it to track your progress and remind you of how far you’ve come on those days when you might be struggling.
  • Mix it up – take advantage of the wide selection of flavours across our OPTIFAST meal replacement products. Don’t let yourself get stuck in a rut!
  • Prepare distractions – have plenty of distractions on hand for when hunger strikes, such as a crafty hobby to keep your hands busy or having a friend you can phone or go for a walk with.
  • Keep your goals in mind – remind yourself that you’re on a weight loss journey and, with any big lifestyle change, there’ll be challenging times. Just persevere and keep in mind why you started and how far you’ve come.
  • Join our closed Facebook group – find extra motivation and support in our private Facebook group where you can share tips and connect with other people on an OPTIFAST weight loss plan.
  • Have a back-up plan – when hunger or temptation strike, have your distraction tactic in mind, such as going for a walk or calling a loved one.
  • Have fun – even though you’re following a weight loss plan, it’s still important to have fun!
